Outlet behind wall cabinet

I have two outlets in my basement work room that are seldom used. I'd like to put a wall cabinet over them. Is there any sort of safety or codes issue with cutting a hole in the luan cabinet back around where the outlty is. If ever needed, open the cabinet door and plug in the cord....

As long as there is an opening to allow access to the junction box you are fine.
