| I am hooking up a new pool pump motor and have a power supply of three wires...one is green (ground) and the other two...one is red and the other is blue. The motor is a 1 hp 230v ...am I correct in assuming that both the red and blue wires are " hot " and can be connected to either of the screws provided on the motor? The breaker is a double switch with a bar connecting them.....so does this mean the 230 v is the power and the wire placement doesn't matter? ...thanks. |
