Attaching low voltage wire to eaves of house

Posted by freedee (My Page) on

I need to attach 12/2 low voltage wires under the eaves of my home. We are wasting so much time with this. Is there a product that is made for this? I found staples, but they are brightly colored. If worst comes to worst, I will have to paint them, eeek. The surface that they will be attached to is cedar that is stained an espresso brown. Black would be fine any brown would be fine. Bright red is a problem. I can't be the only one who has done this, there has got to be a better way.

#1 what are you wiring? #2 if cosmetics is such a problem run them through your attic down to the eave. Its harder work but would really impress your girfriends.#3 run them all the way to the outer most edge of the eave get a spray bomb that matchs and have at it!#4 even if you paint them the paint will flake off and it will look like....#5 have fun with your project and enjoy knowing YOU did it.

All the big box stores sell black and brown nail-on or screw-on wire clips, not staples. They are commonly used to attach co-ax cable to baseboards and trim.

"12/2 low voltage??"

12V landscape type lighting, I would presume.

Yes it is low voltage landscape lighting. I found the exact thing in home depot, but it only comes in white. Loews doesn't have it either. One of the local electric supply places doesn't have it either. These clips keep it tight to the house. The coax ones are round and they didn't fit, trust me, it doesn't work.
