Door Jamb Light Switch

Hi all,

We're building a new home and are considering having some light switches installed in the door jambs for things like the pantry and lighted closets so that the lights come on and turn off when the doors are opened and closed.

It "seems" like a nice idea but I have concerns about the cost to install them due to the time it takes to flush mount them in the jamb, the reliability of the switch, and the hassle and cost to revert to a wall switch down the road if they prove to be a bad decision.

Do you have them in your home? Have you installed them?

I'd appreciate thoughts and feedback. Thanks!
