I am purchasing a new single story home, I would like ceiling fans in every bedroom and family area, The builder wants to charge me 270 per room to install a fan box and two switches, a light dimmer and fan speed switch.
My question is, Is this something i can have done later at a cheaper price? or is 270 per fan box reasonable ? Is it going to be too complicated once room is drywalled and finished?
I appreciate your reply.

$270 per, pre-drywall, is a good profit for the builder. After the walls are finished, though, you'd pay a lot more.
