| i'm running some alum triplex in pvc conduit so i only need to go 18" deep and wondering if i should leave a gap in the low spots in case water finds it's way into the pvc somehow and collects there. i would protect the gap with a piece of larger pvc slipped over the open space. is this a worth-while idea or something to not worry about? |

| Underground conduit IS going to fill with water, and unless you have a one way valve, any gap you leave will do as much to allow water to enter as to exit. As long as the insulation is rated for use in a wet location (and ALL underground locations ARE WET) and not damaged the presence of water is not a problem. |
