Electrical outlet/phone jack and light switch on same wallplate?

Hello all-
I'm a frequenter of the kitchens forum as I'm giving my kitchen a facelift. Part of that facelift is a backsplash that will intrude on an existing electrical outlet and a nearby phone jack. We will also need to run lighting over a new countertop bar, so I'll need to add a light switch and run new wiring to that switch. My question is can I place all 3 of them on one switchplate next to each other? I'd like to have an electrician come in and run the wiring for the lights before having the backsplash and possibly even the new countertops installed. Thanks!

Better plan on a large box and large faceplate. For items with different voltages, the wall box must have partitions to keep things separated.
Masonry boxes are probably not what is needed for your application, but this video explains the concept of partitions.
