| I am tiling now. I am wondering if the blue box I have here in the image is a box extender. This is the only outlet with the blue box. Even the other double gang does not have this blue box installed. Is this blue thing a box extender? If it is, then what else I can use to add the depth to extend the outlet to flush with my tile stone? Thanks

| This is whats called an 'old work box'. The original box was removed or this was just used as new when the drywall was up already. The screws on opposite corners are fastened to wings in the back which extend across the drywall to hold the box, it is not nailed to a stud. Box extenders should work just fine on this, it's just a regular box. |
