I am needing to run wire from my home breaker box to my shop. I am running wood working tools, saws, lathes and etc. The distance will be about 75 feet from the home breaker box to the shop breaker box, under ground in pvc conduit, copper wire. What size wire do I need to run?

Depends on how many of them you want to run at one time and what they all are. I'd be inclined to run 60A. You'll need to run wet rated conductors THWN of size 6. You'll need four.
If this shop is a separate structure, you'll need a grounding structure there. Be sure to see the subpanel FAQ at the top of the forum.

Give us some rating on the power equipment and what ones will be running together. Normally #6 and a 60 amp sub panel suits this application but we need ratings to be sure.
