The "stab-in"s work about only once at best. You can use the screws on the sides to get a good connection.

If you are going to replace them, just look for the next "grade" up at the big box stores. The ones where you insert from the back but then use the side screws to clamp down on the wire give you good contact (if you aren't good wrapping the wire around the side screw).

Look for "CR15" or "BR15" receptacles.

Tamper Resistant commercial-grade receptacles would be my
choice since they're now required in most municipalities and
there's little difference in cost. One less gotcha when a
prospective buyer tries to negotiate a sweet deal.
