Exterior Soffit Recessed Lighting

Posted by MGDawg (My Page) on

Hi all,

Upcoming new construction for me and I was wondering if the following recessed housing (All-Pro EI400ATSB) that I bought will also work outside in the soffit of my covered porch. If not, can you recommend an exterior housing that would also work well with the Cree/Ecosmart CR4 LED light?

Thanks for the help!

RE: Exterior Soffit Recessed Lighting

The housing appears to be rated for IC and wet locations so would be appropriate for this use. You'll have to test whether the CREE LED lamp fits in the housing/trim that you intend to use. Unfortunately, these things have a rep for being a bit oversized and not fitting in all housings.

Thanks for the quick response. It's on the list of compatible housings for the Cree lamps.
