space above can light housing

I am putting in a new ceiling and lights in a room. I am using Juno remodel housing for the can lights. How much space is required between the top of the housing and the floor above it?
Right now there is no ceiling just open joists..

There should be information provided with the cans. Usually IC cans can touch insulation or any building framing without having to worry about clearance. Non-IC fixtures typically need 3" in all directions.

Thanks. It doesn't say on the tiny bit of packaging there is.

Usually it's a wadded up installation instructions inside the can. If you have the can model numbers you can find most of the JUNO installation instructions online.
