Do I want a GFCI extension cord that has auto reset or not? (Does this mean that it will allow the pump to keep going if the pump trips the cord?)
How do I know what cord I need? What amp should I be looking for? |

| Why not just keep related information in the same thread? You don't need to start a new one. |

| Because my questions for that other thread were answered. My new question not from that thread are not. What was the point of posting this unhelpful question? I took time to click into here for nothing. |

Because in order to get the full details of your question, we have to go to a different thread (that you didn't even make clickable -- we have to copy/paste it). If you felt that this question was separate from the other thread, you should not have said it was a continuation and you should have included all of the details in this thread. |

| Guess what? If you don't like my referring to another post, then don't answer! No one is forcing you to do anything but it's clear that you had to find a reason to complain about something, anything, or you would have simply have MOVED ON to a post that you didn't find a problem with. I don't like country music. So I don't listen to it. I don't leave it on and sit there complaining about it. It's not hard to figure out to not to listen to it if I don't like it. Does anyone have anything relevant to my question? I'll repeat, the question is "Continued from this topic: http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/wiring/msg1216212315813.html Do I want a GFCI extension cord that has auto reset or not? | There are so many posts that people try to follow in these forums it makes it very hard to follow and very easy to get confused between your previous post and a different members. I would go with a manual reset so you know without a doubt that it is tripping. While on the topic of tripping. I do not think anyone asked anything that was out of line of you. Next time you have a question in addition to your post just ask it in there. It does make it much easier to follow and everyone here wants to good information. There is no need to let your cheese slide off the cracker. Just post the link and say you didn't think about it or whatever the reason. We don't want a straight haired dog to get an electric perm or you to ride the lightning either. If your still miffed feel free to do business in another forum... but none are as helpful as this forum.. oh wait people here don't get paid. |

| 1. People CAN be helpful in this forum, when did I say otherwise? 2. Those were not questions asked of me, they were written with the intent of complaining about something that they weren't forced to look at, answer or deal with. No, no one here is being paid and no one is being FORCED to do anything. So yet again, if you don't like what I post or how I post, just move on. It's not that difficult unless you feel that you need to complain. |

I'm just glad I'm not Mr. Minnamouse. And if there is one, he's destined for sainthood. Amen. |

| Out of kindness I answered your question and offered some helpful advice for posting in any forum. Have you considered a hobby with kites? You should go fly one. |

| So yet again, if you don't like what I post or how I post, just move on Do you see the irony that you are telling other people to ignore posts that they don't like and yet you won't? Maybe you should follow your own advice. We were just trying to let you know a more appropriate way to post and ask your questions so that other people would be able to easily understand and follow it. That way, you'd get many more helpful responses and opinions. |

| I should take my own advice and ignore MY OWN TOPIC so I can miss any relevant answers! What a GENIUS idea! Why didn't I think about that myself??? Oh right, because IT'S MY OWN TOPIC and I'D MISS ANY RELEVANT ANSWERS! Ipbod, gee golly gosh, what you wrote sounded so normal! Countryboymo, or better yet, maybe I can copy you with your hobby of finding things to complain about because I have nothing better to do! |

| Just because you started a thread doesn't mean you own it. This is a public forum. Go back and read the first couple of replies to your post without reading malicious intent into the words. The posts were actually trying to be helpful. Maybe not by actually answering your specific questions, but by prompting you how to make your post clearer so that others could respond to your questions. Would you rather have had NO responses or would you like comments on how to make your question clearer? People can't answer your specific questions without asking you for more details. You are the one that took this thread into the negative direction. |

| "What was the point of posting this unhelpful question? I took time to click into here for nothing." If your time is so valuable, you should just hire an electrician. |

Oh my gosh, I think she loves me, (blush, blush) I better go hide somewhere. |
RE: Do I want an auto reset or not?

| I will not attempt to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.. PICK a flippin GFI cord and USE IT. I would also put a holding tank below the dog wash so the dog isn't standing in the water the pump is sitting in. Put a straight drain from the dog wash to the pump tank area. This would further help reduce the chances of getting a shock should the gfi fail. See there...I gave helpful information or food for thought. I'm done on this topic. Best of luck. |
RE: Do I want an auto reset or not?

| It's really pathetic that you people have nothing better to do with your lives than to sit around and find problems with things that needn't concern you. The fact is that I haven't broken any rules with how I posted so if you don't like it, I really don't care. Grow a brain, move on. I don't want any advice anymore, I wouldn't trust any advice from malcontent losers like you people anyways. I'm not wasting anymore of my time on you. |
RE: Do I want an auto reset or not?

| I'll say it again. You were the one that started to berate people for trying to help. |

| Everyone, just STFU and move on. |
