Replace switch with timer

I'd like to replace the switch for our entry lights with a timer switch that requires a neutral wire. The current rocker switch has two black wires, but there is a capped off white wire in the back of the box. I assume this is the neutral wire. Can I use this for the new switch? The house was built in 1972.

Dumb question. Never mind. I looked at the little tiny wiring diagram with a pair of old lady glasses.
