Are outlets allowed in a closet?

Tried searching this forum for this answer -- no luck. Is it against code to have an outlet in a closet? My master closet is unusually large.

In a related question, how would I go about installing an outlet inside a bathroom base cabinet? The only thing I can think of is to cut a hole in the cabinet underneath an existing outlet and fish down.

RE: Are outlets allowed in a closet?

First part: YES, they are allowed.

Second: What you describe is about the easiest.
