| I am redoing my basement using 2 x 3's for the walls. By code do I have to drill holes in the outside studs or can the wire be run between the stud and the outside wall ( there is a 1 inch space between the stud and wall). |

| As long as there's nothing back there that will damage the wire, yo can go behind the studs. |

| Note that you still must support (staple or whatever) the cable every 4.5' |
