The continued POP UPS of the same ad imposed over the text 3 and 4 times while looking at one post is too much for me.
If this continues, it will be goodbye for me.

hmmmm... I haven't experienced this at all. Are you using a pop up blocker?

spoke too soon, it just happened to me. Normally I am able to keep away from those underlined links but it looks as though they are getting craftier.

If you go back and hit edit on your own posts, you can remove the ones the forum software inserts in yours.
Otherwise you're stuck with the dumbass feature.

I use AdBlock Plus with Firefox on W7. I have not seen any popus.

I haven't seen an ad, let alone a pop-up, in years.

I tried the Adblock plus. It would not load. It was for safari as well.

I went to the App Store and downloaded a free app. Let's hope it works.

Adblock in the App Store,IOS, works. Thankfully.
