Hello. I need to plant a few grape vines that will do well in the shade. I do not need, nor really want, any fruit. I just want the big leaves to shade an area and then fall off in the fall. Would it matter on variety or all the same in this instance? Thanks so much..... jane

Why do you want shade in the shade? And why grapes? there are many other vines that will work

Thank you for your response. I already planted the grapes, so i guess i could delete this question if i knew how :) Grape vines grow easily here - have big leaves for decent shade and lose those leaves before snowfall.
