Making Cranberry Wine

Posted by linjoh (My Page) on

We just finished cranberry harvest and I'd like to make some cranberry wine without using chemicals. I've made it a few times using a recipe that calls for chemicals. Does anyone have a good recipe they'd like to share?
Thanks.

Perry, that's almost what I use, but no concentrate or raisins and only 2 lb.s of sugar per gallon. I boil the crandberries until they pop, which seems to enhance the flavor.

One of our local supermarkets must have seriously over estimated demand a few years ago. After the holidays, they had the 12oz. bags of Ocean Spray berries on sale for $.20 a bag. Needless to say, I stocked up on enough for about 30 gallons. Still have some in my freezer!
