 o
where to buy mature vines

I recently took a tour of some wineries/vineyards in eastern Washington State and got hooked rather quickly. My wife quickly reminded me that I’m a father of three and that they would much rather prefer seedless table grapes... darn, no construction of a wine cellar this year. I’m wondering if there are growers who sell 2-3 year old vines (6-8 count) and if anyone would have suggestions in regards to a versatile variety (table and/or wine) that would grow well in zone 8 (northern Puget Sound region)? Recognizing that it’s end of the season, I’m looking forward to the spring of 07.

Aaron,
Go to this web site: fpms.ucdavis.edu

You can make your selections from the stock they offer. Your climate
is similar to mine in the Russian River Valley and you can grow Pinot
Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfanel and Cabernet Sauvignon
as well as many others. Good Luck
