| We just pressed our grapes on Sat and managed to get 6 gallons!!! Actually, we were a little disappointed - we expected quite a bit more - but hey it was a learning experience, and we probably will end up with some decent wine thanks to our wine-maker friends from South Coast Winery in Temecula. It was a stressful time for me but we made it thru!!! I need a pat on the back!!! |

| Congratulations!!! I've always wanted to try wine straight from grapes but my climate doesn't really lend itself to the varieties I like and it seems like a huge amount of work. What variety did you grow / process? I hope your fermentation goes well and you get to oak soon. |

| Thank you Makalu. We have cab and syrah. We actually just fermented the 2 together as it didn't make much sense to try to separate such a small amount. Next year the crop should double.... |

Can you extract juice from home grown grapes using a juicer or is this a silly question? Obviously I'm a novice but it seems a lot easier to use a juicer to me Anyone have any advice |
