I'm on a mission to track down the whereabouts of Castel 19637. It is one of the "older" French American varietals that I think I might have success growing here in Nebraska. Does anyone have an idea where I might find this grape? Thanks.

The only place I see them for sale is in the UK ... you might want to contact them and see if they can export to the US. Also, it might be worth a call or e-mail to a couple of vineyard suppliers to see if they can source a few vines directly for you. One that's pretty good is Double A in Fredonia, NY (http://www.rakgrape.com/index.php). Good luck on the search.
Here is a link that might be useful: UK Castel supplier

I have this vine. It is hardly the best choice for a wine grape, but it does ripen early and is fairly hardy. Would suggest that Foch is a better choice for you. Are you in a region that hits twenty below? Here I can grow most any sort as long as it ripens fairly early. Do you want some cuttings?
