Very good points. Thanks,Ewalk! My mower feels as if it has compression release allowing the easy spins. It is the initial seasonal start-up my arm hates and fine with the pull afterwards. “A Big Safety Issues” if you have ever had a “Kickback”, it could take you out. I doubt the none experienced would make the needed Jig. If an electric motor can be adapted to your mower or Etc. that is the safer way to go. The neatest I have seen is the mower that re-coils for the next start when you kill it. Again it could be mean and not start with that charge at the start of the season. Hopefully it will have Compression Release to assist with one or two pulls. If I was not so lazy I would hire or trade with my Yardman, LOL! He walks from 10 houses away with his problems. I call him from 10 houses away when I need Help. Or! Alert him on my 2 mi walk I’ll need help on my return if he has time. He’s a good yardman with yards and helps in a crew…

Mine are the synthetic/polyester type flowers and greenery. The ones in kitchen on top of cabinets are soaked in kitchen sink with dawn dish soap and warm water. Rinse well. Shake to dry as best as you can. Hang to dry in shower/bathtub. Adding a fan is ever better indoors. The fan seems to help in drying faster with less water spots. Better still if weather permits hanging outdoors (preferably in the shade) does even better. Same as above...soak, rinse, shake, hang. As for my larger, synthetic potted trees....I place in shower. Depending on the vessel/basket or whatever is on bottom will determine if I stand in the shower or simply lean foliage, tree trunk, etc into shower stall. One I have is in a cool wicker basket. So I try to not get it wet. I clean basket like I do wood furniture. Anyhoo, I have a spray bottle with dawn dish soap and water. I rinse foliage, trunk etc with warm water. Spray soap solution onto foliage, trunk etc. Let work 2-3 min....rinse well, shake, hang.

In the upper photo where the top galvanized pipe connects to the copper riser on the left there is severe corrosion on the iron pipe threads which appears as if it may be a problem, but aside from that, the corrosion on those pipes is not near as bad as one might think. The green color on the pipes is called "Patina" and it is not a problem at all. In fact, that is the same green patina that gives the statue of liberty her famous green color and in the art world it is highly sought after. At the floor you have a cast iron pipe hub flush with the floor and the copper pipe is set into the cast hub by means of oak and poured lead. You can cut the pipe as you describe and attach your new PVC by means of a rubber Fernco coupling or you could cut the copper pipe flush with the floor, then clean the pipe stub and lead out of the cast iron hub and connect your new PVC into the hub by means of a Fernco PVC x CI donut connector.
