Jordan: If it were Pierce's disease then for your vines there won't be a next year, they'd be dead. That disease is an issue only in warm winter climates. Where do you live? The lower right pic looks like it might be phylloxera. What does the other side of leaf look like where those round spots are on top surface? Nothing on your vines says they might die next year. It's normal for leaves to look ratty this time of yr.

You are probably going to see that all the old Univ. of Florida and younger Mississippi State Univ. PD-resistant bunch-grape releases are hard to find by mail order, and harder still to find already rooted (i.e., not merely cuttings). I searched a year or two ago myself and am still looking for some of them. If no one else answers, in the next few days I may be able to find record of where I got my "Conquistador" a year or so back. Unfortunately the very limited number of cuttings available this winter from it are already promised.

My Crimson Seedless vine isn't PD infested at this time, and this doc gives me some some hope that it might be somewhat resistant. That said, this Summer I finger smashed a lot of sharpshooters feeding on the vine. Some days I smashed as many as 10 within an hour. This is really a shame as CS has given me super sweet grapes that are still holding well as we speak. What a heart breaker it would be to lose this vine. It seems odd/questionable that nurseries would even sell PD prone grape varieties in areas that are known to carry the disease.

Update It turns out that what I was looking for is right under my nose. I was doing a little cleanup yesterday and found that I do have a bunch grape on the place already. I bought this place this past spring and have had time only to throw in the garden. I have lots of work to do on the place that is waiting for cooler weather, including a massive bamboo removal job. I was clearing a small area in the corner of my chain link fence and found a small grape vine. At first I thought muscadine due to the leaves but they weren't quite right for a muscadine (round and toothed like a muscadine but with a pronounced point rather than being nearly round) the clincher was forked tendrils. I have no clue as to variety but do know that it is at least three years old as the previous owners were only here for two years and I serious doubt they had anything to do with grapes other than the bottled version. Judging from the main vine at the base it is even older than that being over an inch in diameter and appearing to have survived multiple attacks of the weedeater. All canes were small being pencil sized with short nodes. It is also in a terrible location being in a corner on a boundary fence behind a crepe myrtle (those will be going along with the bamboo). I guess I need to develop a mangment plan for it with some TLC and we'll see what I got.
