chrmann: You can never have too many figs! I'd be just terrifically happy if ONE fig cutting rooted from those I traded for. I have TONS of white grapes--which tells you how prolific these are--so just tell my how many figs you want to part with and I'll send you two-three for each one of yours. There are certainly a lot of varieties you could try for your area. I have worked with over 200 diffrent grape varieties over the last 25+ years. My favorites for red seedless is Einset, for green seedless Sooke or Skookum from British Columbia, Simone (BC) for a blue seedless. I really like Reliance. A lot of the grapes from NY like Marquis, Himrod, Interlaken etc, are nice grapes to grow, The Arkansas grapes Venus,Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and Neptune are pretty nice grapes to grow. For lavender lass you could try some of the varieties from Elmer Swenson's cultivars ie. Somerset Seedless. I don't know about the chili pepper grape, but I've eaten some of those red seedless muscats and they are possibly the best grapes I have ever had in my life. I want to grow a vine but haven't been able to find one for sale. I love exotic and unusual fruits!
