| Does anybody here have experience with automated blinds, or know anything about them? I have a bedroom with 4 windows that have a nice daytime view but receive a lot of street light at night. I would like to either set them to open and close at particular times, or to be on a remote so I could open and close all of them with the push of a button. Can they be battery-powered, or do they need to be hard wired? We just finished a major renovation project and would prefer not to run any more wiring! |

| you can get remote control shades that are battery operated (control is like tv control)--you actually have to push the buttons. if you want to go the hard wire route, they can be set on a timer. I would recommend Hunter Douglas, pricey, but dependable. Look at either silhouette or duette. |
