Sliding Glass Door - Simonton Vs Sunrise

Need to replace the patio door out to my deck due to water damage around the perimeter of the door (poor flashi job when the house was built).

Looking at Sunrise Essentials (low-end of a solid brand) or something from Simonton (maybe Prism Gold or Platinum). I have a good installer (not Home Depot).

Thoughts on these two options? Other options? I'm trying to stay around $1k for the door before installation. Door is approx 6ft x 80".

As a fan, and owner, of a Sunrise patio door (3 panel) I would opt for the Sunrise door, albeit, not the Essentials, go to the next level of the Sunrise series. It will provide you with a little bit more for the money (i.e. three point locking, better weather stripping and a bit better SHGC)

Sunrise's Essentials line is unworthy of the brand, IMO, and should be avoided. Simonton's Prism patio door would be the better choice.

Getting a quote on Sunrise's Vanguard/Restorations patio door would be the best choice of the three.
