Gorell and in the glass blinds

Posted by Doggydoc (My Page) on

I had a salesman say that in the glass blinds destroyed the energy efficiency of a window. Just wanted to see if that is actually the case. Though about putting these on the few west facing windows I have.

Also does anyone know if gorell has triple pane glass and if this option is available with between the glass blinds to regain the energy efficiency. Thanks

RE: Gorell and in the glass blinds

Blinds in the glass are not available with triple pane.
While the blinds do affect the type of low-e used and eliminate the use of argon or krypton gas, it does not "destroy" the efficiency of a window as long as they blinds are used strategically. If they are not, it can indeed have a profoundly negative effect.
