| Hi there --
We plan to replace existing tiny windows (approx. 10x20) in a shed dormer with much larger casement windows (approx. 40x20). A contractor has quoted $550 per window (not including the windows themselves) to: * Cut the new opening
The price doesn't include painting the window, which I said I would do myself. They have a good reputation, so if this is a decent quote I'm happy to go with them, but I really don't have any experience with window installation. Any thoughts? |

| If that's a cut-out into a frame up wall and installation of the window, that's a very reasonable price. |

| Thank you for your response, skydawggy. We decided to go with the contractor. |
