Marvin Hi Transparency Screen

Posted by lsandler (My Page) on

I am thinking about using Marvin Infinity windows for replacements. Has anyone seen or used the new hi transparency screen from Marvin? My contractor told me about them but does not have a sample. I wonder if there is a true difference? Also, I would like to know the upcharge for this screen.

Thanks!

I am ordering the Marvin Integrity and was told that it wasn't available; I hope you are right b/c I would like to have them on my windows.

I have seen Lincoln's "high-viz" screen in a showroom and yes there is a difference; for Lincoln (who has similarly priced standard screens) the cost was almost double to get the better screen but..... double $14 is only $14! So for $28 / window I would like have them put on the few windows that we regularly open and go without screens on the rest.

Thanks, kooshball. They may not be available on the Integrity windows but are on the Infinity windows. I hope they are as reasonable as Lincoln's.

I was quoted around $130 dollars per screen for a 48"x24" Infinity window, which I thought was ridiculous. That is just the cost to upgrade from a normal screen! So if you needed to replace one, what are they, $150-$200?

But that also did include the stainable wood grain material instead of colored plastic borders. If anyone else got a quote for the high-viz screens with the wood grain I would like to know how much other dealers are charging for the privilege.

Does anyone know if the high transparency screen is now available for the integrity windows?

I just talked to an Integrity dealer today - no high transparency screen is offered. However the upgrade to wood veneer on the screens is only $30. I don't understand the games Marvin is playing with the Integrity vs. Infinity options.
