| We are replacing all our windows with Okna brand and for our front living room window we are going with a double-hung reverse cottage style, like the one in the link below (6 grid on smaller top sash with a larger clear sash on the bottom).
We have a 116" opening. Should I go with 3 or 4 windows? We currently have 4 casements on our split level suburban house. Also, for the 2 kids rooms upstairs that are also on the front, should I go with a full grid slider or replace the sliders each with 2 double-hungs in the same style? I think they are each 55" wide and about 32" tall. I appreciate any help!

| How tall is the opening in the front of the home? At 116" in total (i.e. 38" wide per) you will need a relatively tall window in that opening to maintain the normal aesthetic. 32" is pretty short of a DH. I would stay with the slider as compared to the DH. |

| I think the front window opeining is 66" tall...roughly (at work and don't have the measurements on hand). That's the glass measurement. I believe with trim it's 72"ish. Should I keep the slider with grid or plain upstairs? Sorry...I just am having a hard time picturing all this. I appreciate any advice as to what looks asthetically better. |

| Grids are completely a personal decision. I don't care for them and definitely not is sliders but understand that is just my personal opinion. If you like the colonial look, stick with them. |
