What questions should I ask before the install?

Our vinyl double-hung windows are finally here and are now scheduled to be installed in a week or so. We are replacing all the original windows on 2 levels.

What questions should I ask before the installation? Ideally, I should have asked more questions before I contracted, but I discovered this GW forum just recently. The company is very reputable, so I am not terribly worried, but still want to be over-prepared rather than under.

New construction or insert type replacement? How do you know they are reputable, did you check references? What brand window?

Well, you already hired the company and ordered the windows so its basically in their hands. They would have a particular way of doing the install. You stated " they are a reputable company" so you should be fine. As far as the quality/ brand if window you chose, that can be another story.

Yes and my questions were not for you to ask the installing company but to help us gauge how we can offer advice, just to clarify.....
