The heatseal is a polycarbonate spacer which not only has alot of structural integrity but it also renders the warmest edge in the industry. Its actually my favorite. That said, the xlEdge is still a good spacer system.

+1 to the comments above, in that both are excellent, with the Heat Seal offering slightly better thermal performance. Super Spacer would be the third in the trifecta of top options, IMO. You won't go wrong with any of those three, although my preference is for the non-metal options.

Thanks for the feedback on the Heatseal spacer. I didn't realize it was based on polycarbonate. That makes sense that it would add structural support over the foam-based spacers.

The XL Edge and the Duralite (aka HeatSeal) are our two most used spacers.

They all have pluses and minus but like has been mentioned, I think the non-metallic aspect, while still remaining structural via the Polycarbonate, is a great combination in the HeatSeal spacer.

We have options in vinyl, fiberglass, composite, and wood.

What is the right application depends almost entirely on the consumer.
