| A while back I was concerned to choose the best window manufacturer here on the West coast. Wound up putting in a PlyGem pro 200 slider vent in our kitchen window. Now we are trying to replace all the large picture windows in our family, dining and living rooms. 3 of them are 8 x 5's. One is a 6x5, and two are 3 x 5's. We want the best insulation possible here in the high desert because summers are hot and winters run pretty cold. The best we could get were triple panes with superspacers and argon fill. The bid for PlyGem Premiums came in at almost $1500 less than the Milgard Tuskanys ($4000 vs $5500). I am concerned because the warrantees are so different. Milgard garantees everything including window breakage for life. The PlyGem warrantee has no glass coverage and seems full of weasel words. Any one got an opinion on this topic? |

| Seems to me you are answering your own question. Do you want to spend less and if there is a problem pay to fix it or do you pay 40% more and have peace of mind there is a warranty. myself i would run from anything with the Plygems name but that is just my opinion from my years selling retail and dealing with Plygems. |
