My 16 year old house has 7 Pella sliding windows. I recently noticed that at the bottom of them there are two rectangular openings with a piece of open plastic pushed up to the outside and a deteriorating piece of foam pushed up on the inside. I have not experienced water leaks, but the house has always been drafty. Is this right? Can/should I at least replace the foam with something less porous? Thanks.
