Flat trim option for Simonton Brickmould 600?

We are building a traditional looking house - symmetrical red brick 2story with 1story wings, dormers on roof, white trim above brick at roofline. Inspired by older colonial/Georgian style homes. But we are going with Simonton Brickmould 600 double hung vinyl windows due to budget and maintenance constraints. I noticed the website offers an option flat casing "to give the windows more if a traditional wood appearance". Anyone have an experience with this and us it something I should consider for our brick home?

I think the brickmold is more the standard in what you are talking about.

The flat is usually seen more often on sided homes.
