 o
replacement sliding patio door

I have a Anderson sliding glass patio door(1979), wood frame. I would like to replace the doors, one stationary and the other sliding without replacing the frame. Frame appears to be in good shape. Anderson says no because they can not warrantee the door without replacing the whole thing. I understand that. Anyone have any suggestions? Reason for not wanting to replace the whole thing is because siding installer has said I would have to take down the siding around the door.

It would be best to install a new door unit, even if siding has to be removed. However, if Anderson still has new door panels(with better glass) to fit the existing frame, track, hardware, Etc., it might work? May not be much difference in total cost.
