Hi guys,

I'm going to buy a new home (in Italy), with a big terrace. Something like that one:

As shown in the pictures I'm going to close it that folding glasses ( http://www.gmmorando.it/index.htm) or ( http://translate.google.it/translate?hl=it&sl=it&tl=en&u=http://www.gm morando.it/

) in order to create a

kind winter-garden and use it all year long.

What about my idea? what would you do with such a terrace in your house? witch kind of forniture would you buy? I'm looking for ideas...

Thanks
Paola

That looks wonderful! How long is the winter season in that part of Italy? Do you think the folding glass will be open or closed for longer part of the year? Are you trying to protect it from just rain and wind or do you get freezing temperatures and snow? Would it need to be heated in the winter? Would you need a fan in the summer heat? Do you have a problem with mosquitos or flies? Here in the United States some houses have screens around terraces to keep mosquitos away, but personally I don't like that. I would rather keep it open for as long as possible and then close with glass for the winter. Besides comfortable seating and eating area like in the photo I would also build a small outdoor kitchen. Enjoy!
