| I have an older home with small windows in the basement. I want to turn those windows into large bedroom windows capable of acting as fire escapes. I'm not stupid enough to try and cut the foundation on my own, but I figure I can handle digging the window wells. How big of a hole (LxWxH) should I dig to comply with fire codes etc? And what else do I need to know other than just digging a hole? |
