I need to replace a center hinged french door in my family room and I've gotten some quotes. The lowest was $2500 and the contractor was going to buy a cheap door at Lowes (I asked him for the model and went to the store and looked at the door). High end was over $5,000 and the door was a Jeld Wen. I got a quote for a high-end Pella wood door and I really like that door the best. I was quoted around $4,000 installed. After reading this forum, though, I'm a little worried about getting the Pella. No one around me uses Marvin (I've seen those mentioned) - at least none of the contractors I've talked to. Anyway, between the Jeld Wen and the Pella - which do you think is better?
