 o
Window sill height

Hi,

I am remodeling my 14' by 18' living room and putting in new windows. I am trying to create a panoramic view effect with two 5.5' wide windows on the west wall meeting two 6' windows on the south wall. My big dilemma is how tall should the windows be? The walls are only 8' high (it's a 1965 ranch home) so I will keep the top of the windows at the same height as the doors (6'8"). But how low should the windows go? I would like to put built-in seating in the corner so should the sill height be at 32" (4' window) or 26" (4.5' window)?

Thanks for your input!
