Andersen patio door - sliding or retractable screen?

We are planning to purchase an Anderson Narrowline 220 patio door from Home Depot. I am wondering about our screen choices -- a standard sliding screen, or a retractable/rollable screen?

I have two toddler boys who are not gentle with screens. I like the idea of the retractable but is it fragile? Easy to repair if there's a problem?

We looked at the Andersen at HD and the Pella at Lowes and prefered the Andersen setup overall. I have not looked at any others but think we'll probably be fine.

We're choosing some fancier oil rubbed hardware. Do you think we would want an outside key lock? It's for a door at the rear of our house. What about the foot lock mechanism?

Auxiliary foot bolt is a good idea, since its in the back of the house I would bother with a keylock. I personally would stay away from Pella but that is just me. As far as the screen the sliding screen will be much more durable and I think stand up better to your boys

I see that the Plisse suggestion was posted by a Plisse employee so I want to ask whether anyone else has a Plisse screen and likes it. It looks great to me, so thanks Doug the Screen Guy (Katrina) for posting about this 3 years ago - I'd love other testimonials as well... I do like that the Plisse is $200 or so excluding installation versus Phantom which I've got a $500 quote for - probably both are good but Plisse somehow seems better and not just the price.

Any more feedback?
