Lurker with basic "Fiberglass vs. Steel" door ???

Within a month we will be replacing the front doors on our very modest, no-discernible-style, 1952 home.

Which material will give me the best insulation value for the east-facing location - fiberglass or steel?

At present we have a beige, painted, steel exterior door with a flimsy, peeling white aluminum storm door over it. Anything is going to be a welcomed improvement.

I am looking at a couple doors in a plain mission style with small rectangle of beveled glass in the upper third of the door.

I can get a stained fiberglass or a painted steel in the same door style.

Best insulating factor - fiberglass.

Thanks, BPChill, that's what a rep from the door company told me, but I needed to hear it from a GardenWebber!

It has been spoken. Now...go and be fruitful.
