If you are speaking purely of performance, you might be hard pressed to realize the $770 difference in investment.

That said, the 800 is their flagship window and does not look like your average vinyl window (don't get me wrong, the 500 doesn't either) when you figure in the metal hardware.

Get some matched hardware in the kitchen and it really sets the visuals off.

By the way, the 800 also has the reinforced meeting rail and a slightly thicker wall on the extrusion.

i also read some good reviews on the Okna 600. What options are available with that window?

You can basically get any custom exterior color that isnt standard. There is always an upcharge of about $100 per window or more depending on size for a standard exterior color ( anything other than white) with any window manufacturer, not just okna. However, there will be another upcharge to do a custom exterior color.

the 800 series will cost more than the 500 due to some additional features. The 800 also can come with various woodgrain interiors whereas the 500 does not.

You could also consider the Okna 600 " Eco Pro". The 600 series has all the engineering features that the 800 has but usually at a better price. The 600 will have a more narrow frame than the 800 which will give you more glass. Pricing on the 600 is very similar to the 500 series but you get the additional engineering/ structural features. The 600 also comes with interior woodgrain options. The Okna 600 is a very sharp looking window, built very well, and has a good price point.
