Marvin Integrity window treatments

We have double hung and casement Marvin Integrity wood/ultrex windows. The jambs on the sides of the double hungs flare, so there's no flat surface to attach a window shade brackets. Anyone else have these windows and a shade that works well with them?

you may need to put a small shim to counter the bevel on the windows under the mounting brackets. I did this on windows in the past and it works just fine, and you never see the shim if you do it right.

Hi Gableandchairs, I know your post was many years ago, but I was just wondering what you did for window shades? We installed the same windows in 2007 before I realized there was no flat surface to install shades on. I’ve thought about the suggestion about shims. Would love to see some information, steps, or pictures of how to make and use the shims That Epiarch Designs suggested. I’m wanting to started remodeling rooms and get new window coverings. Any other ideas or suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
