how can you tell if the windows in your home are the original?

My house was built in 1960 and i have aluminum single hung windows. The windows on the sides and the front have wood framing around them on the outside and the windows in the back have non.
Do you think these are the originals?
They seem to be in good condition, should i bother getting new windows?
