I am remodeling my kitchen and would like to know people's experience with vinyl casement windows. I am looking at 54 inch window with 2 cranks and a fixed center panel for the window in front of the sink. The Pella reviews are bad on this site and I am considering Anderson or Harvey.

I think Sunrise makes one of the best looking and highest quality vinyl casement windows on the market today. It's also worth looking at Soft-lite, Okna and Gorell. I normally like Simonton but their casement is ugly. Whatever you decide, make sure you see an actual sample of the casement. Don't rely on brochures or salespeople's descriptions.

I agree with sky. Of course depending on were you are will depend on brands too. And as sky said, always look at a sample first.

I always say you get what you pay for! If you were to check out Andersen products @ www.andersenwindows.com you will not only find the excellence of window but all the options backed what I call the 'New Andersen' Despite the stories of the 70's & 80's windows, Andersen has he invented itself from product design, customer service, customer options. its not just about making a dollar- but to have the customer referrals. You will not be dissappointed, I bought 12 casements and 4 Double-hungs and couldn't be happier.

Andersen has not re-invented themselves. Their vinyl windows are among the lowest quality on the market. Did you know that their salespeople stoop so low that they occasionaly come on sites like this posing as customers who are happy with their products? Can you believe it? That's pretty desperate IMO.

Registered on August 2nd and your first post is a glowing review of Andersen...the Pike Place market smells less fishy. Truly pathetic.
