I just got a quote for 4 Gorell windows.

Two windows - Gorell 5300 Double Hung, Double Pane, Argon Filled, Low-E, With Grids, Full Screen - $631.50 Each

Two Windows - Gorell 5300 Double Hung, Triple Pane, Argon/Krypton, Low-E, No Grids, Full Screen - $667.50 Each

What do you think?

What size?

RE: Gorell Window Quote

Triple Pane - 36" Wide, 54" Height
Double Pane wGrids - 36" Wide, 60" height

These are my guestimates. Not sure what size the actual windows are.

Why not just upgrade all 4 to triple pane? The upgrade price difference seems to be worth considering it.

Oh. I should have mentioned the double pane windows are in the garage. They don't need to be triple pane.

I'm in St louis, if that matters on the price

Why pay for LoE and argon in the garage? I don't know the window market where you live but the prices do not seem out of line with what one would expect to pay for a quality window.

EcoStar - The reason being is that we have 2 TP LowE windows in the front of the house. From what I understand, the color of the windows would look different if we were to go with a different glass pack and no low-e.

Someone else could confirm that. I originally requested the 5100 series, but those seem to be a different style than the 5300 series.
