Hi - first-time poster, long-time reader. I'm looking to replace the windows in my Bay Area, CA home and am debating between the Amerimax Craftsman Portrait series and Alside Fairfield 70.

From the reviews I've read, both are generally positive (although the few mentions of air leakage in the Alsides are a bit concerning). A contractor has quoted me $400 more for Amerimax and is convinced that they are the superior brand. I've already ruled out MI due to condensation concerns and Milgard due to workmanship.

Between Amerimax and Alside, which would you recommend? Thank you ahead of time!
