Hi all,
I have a 1960 built brick ranch in Atlanta that has the original aluminum single pane windows that I'm looking to replace and have gotten a couple of quotes. I am probably going to turn this into rental property at some point, but then again when I bought this place 20 years ago I thought I'd be out of it within 5 years. I'm replacing 11 aluminum with 1 triple slider, 1 double slider, and 6 double hung.
I understand that Window World's quality is suspect and that they use subs for install so they are probably out of the running. If you were to choose between Simonton 5500 and Soft Lite Bainbridge which would you prefer and why, or would you not recommend either? Add that I can get the 5500 installed for about $900 less than the Bainbridge.
